The Red House is a 200-year-old Grade II listed Georgian
townhouse, located in the North Parade conservation
area. It was originally the Maltsters House for the
Old Maltings which used to be next door.
Mrs Thatcher,
the first female British
prime-minister
was born in the house at the other end of this historic
Georgian Terrace. Indeed, we have been reliably informed by a previous owner that she was a frequent visitor
to The Red House while she lived in Grantham, especially
during the war years.
